Abstract:

Children with autism spectrum disorder display impairments in social interaction and often prefer food or tangible reinforcement to social reinforcement. In this presentation, Dr. Leaf will describe a study in which the researchers conditioned social activities to become preferred items for three autistic individuals. Dr. Leaf will describe the details and results of the study and provide clinical implications for those who work with autistic individuals.
